I work with people who may be taking on a new role or who are experiencing challenges that are stretching them.  Often new roles push us to make new and different choices, to step into a new self-awareness, to find new ways of doing things, and to build new skills. During transitions like this, it is often helpful to explore where you are in relation to where you want to be and then take a look at the choices you’ll need to make in order to get there.

I work with teams to increase their effectiveness by exploring how the team operates. We explore how the team works together within its patterns and habits, and then how it is being held accountable (or not) to the established results.

We can start by understanding your strengths, how you show up in the workplace, and the specific context of your occupation/industry.  We can also identify what individually motivates you and then explore solutions based on our findings.

Staff Retreat

We will co-design and facilitate a one-day or a multiple day staff retreat. We will work with the assigned organizational point person to define the desired results of the retreat along with the programming and activities to ensure the results are achieved.

About Janet

Janet LaFlamme has over 35 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and administration.

As a seasoned executive, Janet has held leadership positions in various industries including healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit/social service organizations.

As a senior leader, she has extensive experience in executive recruitment, coaching and succession planning, as well as identification of leadership competencies for recruitment and succession planning and current leader development.  Janet has assisted companies in dealing with culture shifts and staff redeployment after mergers. 

For ongoing business operations, Janet has extensive experience in ensuring employment and contract compliance,  employee relations, compensation structures and strategies, as well as the effective selection and implementation of a full complement of benefits plans.

In addition to her executive experience, Janet has held adjunct faculty positions in business and healthcare administration programs, where she taught both at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Janet holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bates College, in Lewiston, Maine.

Janet is certified in several assessment areas including Leadership Effective Analysis™ and  Individual Directions Inventory™.  She is certified at the senior professional level (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP with the Society for Human Resources. She holds the Gestalt Coaching Certification from the Gestalt International Study Center, in Wellfleet Massachusetts and holds the Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coach Federation.
